Many people want to pick up a new hobby, and playing a musical instrument may be just what you have in mind. When it comes to choosing a musical instrument, you may want to consider the flute. I bought my first Martin guitar from Mountain Music located in Toccoa, GA in August 2009. At the time, I was just beginning to play bluegrass music and learning to flatpick the guitar. I went to Mountain Music because they were a local business and I had made smaller purchases from their store in the past with no problem. However, because I failed to shop around and do a little homework regarding Martin guitars I now am stuck with a subpar guitar that I bought at an outrageous price. First of all, I have since found out that Mountain Music (Toccoa, GA) is not an authorized Martin dealer, therefore, the lifetime warranty that Martin offers is null and void. Secondly, after searching the Internet and shopping around other businesses outside of Toccoa, Ga, I found that Mountain Music's prices are at or above manufacturer's suggested retail price, they are outrageous!!! Third, they are not authorized to repair Martin guitars, so, if they do any work on the guitar any warranty is voided.

My recommendation for those looking to purchase a guitar, would be to shop around elsewhere. If you are looking to purchase a Martin guitar, visit Martin's website and do a little research on warranty info (they also give a list of authorized Martin dealers in your area). For those located in Northeast GA, I strongly recommend Krazy Al's in either Commerce, GA or Cornelia, GA. They are an authorized Martin dealer, and their prices are comparable to prices the major online stores offer, which are basically the cheapest you'll find. Krazy Al's also offers a wider selection of guitars and other instruments, and they will even let you play them before you purchase, which is a must!
